Spalletti shoulders blame for Italy´s Euro 2024 exit, says rushed preparations a factor

Luciano Spalletti has taken responsibility for Italy s Euro 2024 exit, though the Azzurri boss feels his limited time to prepare the team contributed to their poor displays.

The defending champions crashed out in the last 16 on Saturday, with Remo Freuler and Ruben Vargas scoring as Switzerland claimed a deserved 2-0 victory in Berlin.

Following the Azzurri s defeat, the reigning champions have been eliminated in the round of 16 at three successive editions of the tournament, with Spain going out to Italy in 2016 and Portugal doing so versus Belgium at Euro 2020.

The loss was Italy s first in a knockout game at the Euros since the 2012 final versus Spain (90 minutes only), ending a run of six such matches unbeaten (three wins, three draws).

Rio 2016: Nigeria beat Honduras to bronze medal

Nigeria beat Honduras 3-2 on Saturday to secure the bronze medal at the Rio Olympics courtesy of two goals from Sadiq Umar and one from Aminu Umar.

The Nigerians Olympic dream came to an abrupt end in the semi-finals as Germany proved to be too strong, whereas Honduras were outclassed by Brazil in the final four as they were thrashed 6-0 by the hosts.

Both sides went all out to make sure they would not leave Brazil empty handed, but it was Nigeria who seemed to have dealt with the disappointment of missing the final the best, going three goals up following an impressive opening hour.

Honduras refused to give up, though, and fought back to within one goal in the closing stages of the match thanks to efforts from Anthony Lozano and Marcelo Pereira, only to see …

De la Fuente: Spain ´want to start to make history´ in Euro 2024 final

Luis de la Fuente says Spain want to start to make history when they face England in the Euro 2024 final on Sunday.

La Roja can become the most successful nation in European Championship history outright by lifting the Henri Delaunay cup for a record-breaking fourth time at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.

De la Fuente s side have undoubtedly been the most impressive side during the tournament, winning all six of their matches while scoring 13 goals for the loss of just three.

The 63-year-old is looking to complete a treble of European Championship triumphs, having also won the tournament at under-19 and under-21 levels.

And the head coach paid tribute to his players ahead of this competition s dramatic climax.

We expect a complicated match because …

Juventus 2017-18: How seven straight Serie A titles compares to Europe´s longest streaks

It has been one of the best title races in recent seasons in Serie A but, once again, Juventus have proved a cut above the rest.

Massimiliano Allegri s side claimed their seventh Scudetto in a row with Sunday s 0-0 draw at Roma, a result that ensures Maurizio Sarri s Napoli can finish no higher than second, despite a 2-0 win over Sampdoria.

It means Juve have matched Lyon for the longest title-winning streak in Europe s top five leagues, a run that began under Antonio Conte at the new Allianz Stadium in 2011-12 and has now resulted in a fourth triumph in succession with Allegri in charge.

Untouchable domestically, we have a look at how the record run of this Juve generation compares to some of Europe s most prolific champions.

Falcons vs Cowboys Week 10 Picks and Predictions: Falcons Offense Will Keep Things Tight

After losing outright In Week 9 as double-digit favorites, the Dallas Cowboys will look to rebound against an underrated Atlanta Falcons team that has won three of its last four and is coming off a walk-off win in New Orleans last week as 7-point dogs.

Dallas was a perfect 7-0 ATS before last week’s clunker and opened as 10-point home favorites in Week 10 against Atlanta’s No. 32 defense. The total opened at 52 and has since passed the key number of 54 to 54.5.

Panthers vs Giants Week 2 Picks and Predictions: Mayfield's Struggles Continue at MetLife

A gutsy call from new head coach Brian Daboll has the New York Giants on a high entering Week 2’s home game with the Carolina Panthers.

Daboll dialed up the 2-point conversion to give New York an upset win in Tennessee. Carolina couldn’t come out on the right side of its nail-biter with Cleveland, losing 26-24 on a last-second 58-yard field goal.

Those slim outcomes have the Week 2 odds looking different than the lookahead lines set back in the summer. We break down that point spread, as well as the Over/Under total, and give our best NFL picks and predictions for Panthers at Giants on September 18.

NFL Week 2 Picks and Predictions: Bears, Steelers and Falcons All Set For Bounce Backs

Overreaction and recency bias. Two things that plague NFL bettors.

This gruesome twosome isn’t just confined to our NFL picks and predictions, but it’s a duo we dance with in our non-gambling lives as well.

Take my son for example. He loves superheroes. I love superheroes. So, any new superhero movie hitting the theater (and there’s been a lot of them), we see in the cinema. Regardless of the quality of said superhero flick, that latest movie now becomes his favorite of all time.

“Blue Beetle”, “The Flash”, “Guardians of the Galaxy 3”, “Across the Spider-Verse”, “Shazam! Fury of the Gods”, and whatever cinematic superhero stories came before that have all had their day in the …

Tua Tagovailoa Odds and Props for Week 12: Black Friday = Leg Day for Dolphins QB

While Thanksgiving Day has always been known for its classic football games, Black Friday is getting in on the Week 12 odds action. After a trio of games on Thursday, Amazon Prime has the Miami Dolphins as heavy NFL odds favorites against the New York Jets at Metlife Stadium this afternoon.

The Dolphins are 2-2 in their last four games after starting 6-1 — granted, those losses came in Philadelphia and against the Chiefs. Meanwhile, the Jets have lost three straight and will be turning to Tim Boyle with the team sitting at 4-6.

So, after you’re done getting your Black Friday deals, settle in to (hopefully) make some of that money back on some free NFL picks. Here are my prop picks for Tua Tagovailoa odds in Dolphins vs. Jets on November 24.

Super Bowl Predictions: Travis Kelce Under 6.5 Receptions

Travis Kelce’s production in his postseason career has been legendary. Over his last dozen playoff games, he’s averaging nearly 100 yards and more than a touchdown, and everyone in North America is privy to that information ever since he became a household name thanks to Taylor Swift’s presence.

However, these are things priced into the Super Bowl odds, and with his reception total jumping a full catch and paying solid plus money to the Under, is it time to buy some Under shares for the most bet-on player in Super Bowl 58?

After taking a look at Travis Kelce odds, these are my favorite Super Bowl picks surrounding the Chiefs tight end come February 11.
