Inter v Atalanta: Mazzarri looking for reaction

Walter Mazzarri expects a reaction from Inter on Wednesday as they try to end a six-game winless run against Atalanta in Serie A.

Inter have not claimed all three points against Atalanta since April 2010 and were beaten in the last two meetings at San Siro.

Giacomo Bonaventura struck both goals last season in a 2-1 win at Inter for Atalanta, but he left for Milan on transfer deadline day.

In German Denis, though, Atalanta can call upon a striker who has netted six goals in four games against Inter.

Three draws and three wins have given Atalanta something of a hold over Inter over the past three seasons and head coach Stefano Colantuono will hope to extend that streak.

Inter needed Mateo Kovacic to rescue a point in a 1-1 draw at Palermo on Sunda…

Xbox Developer Direct Set for Q1 2025, Not Many First-Party Announcements at The Game Awards – Rumour

If leaks are to be believed, the upcoming The Game Awards showcase is going to be a big one, but though a number of major titles have already been confirmed to be receiving new showings at the event – including Borderlands 4, Mafia: The Old Country, Hazelight Studios’ next game, and more – one company that seemingly won’t have a major presence at the show in terms of new reveals and updates will be Xbox.

That’s as per journalist Jez Corden, who recently took to Twitter to state that though he’s expecting “lots of epic multiplatform reveals” at The Game Awards later this week, he isn’t expecting first-party Microsoft teams to have too much of a presence, thanks in large part to the fact that, as per Corden, the compa…

Mourinho: I will not hide behind Manchester United´s recent poor results

Jose Mourinho insists he will not be hiding behind Manchester United s poor results in the past three seasons and wants to be challenging for silverware from the start.

The Old Trafford side have had to settle for seventh, fourth and fifth spot respectively in the Premier League over the past three campaigns, having last won the title under Alex Ferguson in 2012-13.

Mourinho feels merely improving on last term s results is not enough for a club of United s stature, though, and is adamant they should be aiming to win titles again in 2016-17.

Managing Manchester United is not the dream job, this is reality. But it is a job everyone wants and not many people get this chance, said the Portuguese.

I got this job and I know the responsibility and expectatio…

Almeria will have three points deducted from their 2014-15 tally, having withdrawn an appeal against the punishment following their relegation from La Liga.

Ronaldo feeling better but still a doubt for Sweden, confirms Santos

Cristiano Ronaldo remains a doubt for Portugal s next Nations League game against Sweden on Tuesday after missing Saturday s 4-1 win over Croatia with an infected toe.

Santos revealed the nature of Ronaldo s problem in his media conference ahead of the Croatia clash, confirming the infection was thought to have been caused by a bee sting.

Portugal had no issues in his absence at the Dragao, as Joao Cancel, Diogo Jota, Joao Felix and Andre Silva did the damage against a Croatia side that hardly threatened at all before Bruno Petkovic s consolation late on.

The Nations League s defending champions will hope to build on this win by beating Sweden next week, and they could yet call upon Ronaldo, though Santos insisted that he was not resting the Juventus star.

West Ham bowed out of the Europa League but only after giving new German champions Bayer Leverkusen an almighty fright.
