Best Odds: 6/4

Bookmaker:

Two sides who really find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of the Premier League table, Manchester City will welcome Leeds to the Etihad on Tuesday night.

Manchester City

Starting with the hosts, while Manchester City might not have quite been at their fluid best over the weekend, the Sky Blues would have simply been happy to pick up maximum points on home soil. Eventually claiming a controversial 1-0 win against Wolves at the Etihad, Pep Guardiola s men firmly have their sights set on maintaining their spot at the top of the Premier League table. Although the defending champions might have signed off their Champions League group stage run with a 2-1 defe…

Messi representative labels Inter Miami agreement reports as ´fake news´

Lionel Messi is not in negotiations to seal a move to Major League Soccer side Inter Miami at the end of the season, the Paris Saint-German forward s representative has declared.

Reports broke on Sunday that claimed the Argentina superstar was close to an agreement that would see him move to the United States after his contract with PSG expires next year.

Such a move would provide a huge boost to the sport in North America ahead of the World Cup in 2026, which will be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico, with Messi previously indicating a desire to play in MLS.

However, his representative Marcelo Mendez has dubbed the reports as fake news and made it clear discussions are not taking place.

It s false, it s fake news. There is no negotiation for Lionel to …

Redknapp to make move for Distin

Harry Redknapp is set to offer Everton s Sylvain Distin a two-year deal in a bid to solve QPR s defensive crisis.

The French centre-half, 35, has less than six months remaining on his current contract and with the Goodison Park club reluctant to offer him a new deal, Redknapp is ready to pounce for a player he managed during his time at Portsmouth.

Redknapp has also targeted Tottenham s Michael Dawson, but with the England international now likely to remain at White Hart Lane the QPR manager is prepared to match Distin s 50,000-pounds-a-week salary in an attempt to lure him to Loftus Road.

Everton, meanwhile, will turn their attentions to bringing Joleon Lescott back to Merseyside after a four-year absence.

Ronaldo hints at Real stay

Cristiano Ronaldo says he will sit down with the Real Madrid board to discuss his contract at the end of the season.

The Portugal international said he was sad with life at the club back in September, which led to reports of a big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

However, the former Manchester United attacker has hinted at extending his stay at the Bernabeu.

Now I care only about the team and we ll talk at the end of the season, Ronaldo told AS.

I swear on my son that my sadness with the club was never a question concerning money. It was not. The renewal is a subject that I do not want to talk about and that I do not care about now.

Ronaldo, who turned 28 on Tuesday, also praised the Real fans, saying they inspire h…

Wright: More Arsenal changes needed after Wenger exit

Arsenal icon Ian Wright believes further changes are needed at Emirates Stadium following the surprise announcement that Arsene Wenger will leave at the end of the season.

Wenger is bringing an end to a successful 22-year period in north London, a stint that included three Premier League titles and a record seven FA Cup triumphs, and managed Wright during his first two seasons at the club.

Arsenal are now in the hunt for a new boss, but Wright thinks the Gunners  issues run far deeper and a widescale overhaul is needed.

It s sad news for Arsenal Football Club, but I think the time is right, he told the Totally Football Podcast.

If he left after 2014, I think that would have been even better. He wouldn t have had to take all the vitriol he s dealt …

Eden Hazard is longing to complete his haul of English silverware, with Chelsea preparing to take on Tottenham in Saturday s FA Cup semi-final.

Man Utd desperate for a trophy to show evolution under Solskjaer, says Pereira

Andreas Pereira admits Manchester United are desperate to win a trophy this season and prove progress has been made under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Pereira helped United reach the EFL Cup semi-finals on Wednesday with a 3-0 victory over Colchester United at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils won that competition, along with the Europa League, in Jose Mourinho s first season in charge in 2016-17, but they have not lifted a trophy since.

With United already 24 points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League, the cup competitions once more represent their best chances of winning a first piece of silverware since Solskjaer took charge.

Pereira says the drive for success within the squad, particularly those players to progress from United s academy, is burning str…

Sweden 1/2 to beat Georgia in Thursday’s World Cup qualifying showdown

Market: Sweden win

Odds: 1/2 @

Simply looking to extend on what has been a hugely impressive run of form, Sweden will make the trip to Batumi on Thursday evening when they face off against Georgia.

Starting with the hosts, while Georgia might have managed to land a shock 2-1 win away at Kosovo last month, it appears that could just turn out to be a minor boost for the European strugglers. Long since seeing any chance of securing a top-two finish in Group B go out the window, Head Coach Willy Sagnol previously found his side enduring a five-match losing run before their trip to Kosovo on October 12th. With that run highlighted by a 4-1 friendly drumming against Bulgaria earlier in the year, the Crusaders have also gained a reputation for their continued issues on…
